Our new bathroom...

We have remodeled our whole house except for our bathroom! We saved it for last since no one else sees it, but we have definitely been sick of seeing it day after day for 5 years!! :) So, we started re-doing it in Feb...and yes, we STILL have some finishing touches to do, but here's what we've done so far...

This is what it did look like...let me paint a picture first...linoleum flooring, old oak cabinetry from the '70's, beige toilet, beige tiled shower...

We tiled the floors and halfway up the wall with 12x24 tiles and finished it off with glass tiles. Caleb built our vanity, medicine cabinet, and cabinet for above the toilet...he's so handy to have around! :)

Didn't he do so good?? I'm proud of him. They look great! It only took painting once, stripping and sanding that, rebuilding the doors b/c the paint wouldn't come off, and repainting to get what we wanted!! Oh, home improvements!! :)

We also still need to stain the grout b/c it didn't come out the right color. It's supposed to be a dark gray. We are going to do something decorative on this wall beside the mirror. We bought a towel rod to hang there, but I couldn't bring myself to cover that pretty tile with towels. So they're on the back of the door!

I won't get into the drama behind this shower...but we ended up doing subway tiles ourselves b/c the "walls" that came w/ it were paper thin little panels that were a joke! Again I say, oh, home improvements!!!

So this is where our free-time has gone for the last 2 months, but it was worth it! We can finally enjoy our bathroom!!
